Health psychology is an emerging field within contemporary psychology. In the second and revised edition of Camic’s and Knight’s popular handbook both authors manage to provide an interesting insight into the state of the art referring to this (relatively new) scientific branch. Their practical guide is suited for professional health psychologists and is also useful for students of health psychology. Furthermore it may be of interest to many clinical psychologists, too - everyone who wants to gather information about such topics as pain management, gastrointestinal disorders, clinical cardiac psychology, oncology etc. can benefit from the enriching perspectives of this book.

The handbook has been published by Hogrefe and Huber.
