Since Health Psychology has grown into a professional branch of scientific psychology there has been a significant conceptual shift from the traditional focus on ‘pathology’ to a more combined approach, which takes curative concepts and preventive measures into account. This so called ‘postive perspective’ on human health has fudamentally influenced both psychology and medicine. But where are the roots of this approach? What has changed since the eighties and nineties?
